Rental Cars

The Salt Lake City Airport has rental cars from all major rental companies available.

Please be aware that weather in the Brighton/Cottowood Canyon area is unpredictable in October. Weather varies for 70’s and sunny to snow. South Big Cottonwood Canyon Road (UT 190) is restricted to 4×4 or Wheel chains during snow, please take this into account when selecting a car to rent.

While visiting Cottonwood Canyon, be aware that fuel prices are more expensive within the canyon.

The 7-11/Phillips 66 at the mouth of the Canyon is the most reasonably priced fuel close to the canyon.

Uber/Lyft

There is Uber and Lyft ride shares available within the canyon, although they may be limited.

It may be hard to secure a ride late at night, Please plan accordingly.

Public Transit

There is NO public transit available within Cottonwood Canyon during this time of year.
